1. What makes Otis different from a regular desk drawer?
Otis gives your essentials smaller, dedicated spaces instead of one large compartment. Adjustable dividers help separate your things, and removable trays let you bring what you need onto your desk while you work.
2. Should I choose the Otis Hanger or Otis Tower?
Choose Hanger for compact storage that attaches to your desk. Choose Tower if you need more capacity, including taller trays for bulkier items. Hanger keeps the floor clear; Tower gives you a freestanding organizer to position beside or beneath your desk.
3. Can I customize the tray compartments?
Yes. Use the dividers and mini trays to create separate spaces for stationery, cables, gadgets, and other small essentials. Rearrange them as your needs change.
4. Can I take the trays out completely?
Yes. Otis trays are removable, so you can bring a tray to your workspace and return it when you’re done.
5. Does the Otis Hanger work with standing desks?
Yes, provided your desktop and frame allow it to fit securely. Since Hanger attaches to the desktop, your storage moves with your desk when you change its height. Check the mounting space and clearance before ordering.
6. How do I check whether the Otis Hanger will fit my desk?
Hanger measures approximately 5.3″ wide × 10.4″ high × 11.4″ deep, with a listed top clamp clearance of 1.75″. Check your desktop thickness and the space underneath, including any frame, apron, or cable tray that could interfere with installation.
7. How much space do I need for the Otis Tower?
Tower measures approximately 5.9″ wide × 24.4″ high × 16.1″ deep. Check the height beneath your desk and leave room to pull out the trays. If you plan to add wheels, allow for additional height.
8. Is assembly required?
Otis Tower requires partial assembly. Otis Hanger attaches to your desk using a spring mounting system.
9. What are the Otis organizers made from?
Both combine steel frames with polypropylene trays. Tower has a carbon-steel frame with a double-layer powder coating; Hanger uses powder-coated steel and high-density recycled polypropylene.
10. Does Otis Tower have adjustable feet?
Yes. Otis Tower 3.0 includes leveling feet to help it sit evenly on uneven floors.
11. Can I add wheels to my Otis Tower?
Yes. We offer screw-in Otis Tower wheels separately. They swivel for easy movement, and two locking brakes help keep your Tower in place when parked.
12. What can I store in Edge?
Edge holds items such as laptops, tablets, phones, books, magazines, and documents beside your desk. Its felt-lined steel construction helps protect your belongings, while the included cable magnets help keep cords organized. Check the product dimensions against the items you want to store.
13. How many cable magnets come with Edge?
Edge includes two cable magnets. Some printed brochures mention four; that is a printing error.
14. What is DOS, and how does it work?
DOS stands for Desk Organizing Sleeve. It’s a laptop sleeve that unfolds into a tray for the things you usually set on your desk—your phone, keys, sunglasses, and other small essentials. It comes in 13/14″ and 15/16″ sizes.
15. Do I need special paper refills for Paper Guardian?
No. Paper Guardian is designed to reuse paper, including leftover sheets and misprints. It works with Letter and A4 paper and includes a built-in cutter to help prepare your pages.
16. Where do you ship, and how long does delivery take?
We currently ship within the United States. Estimated shipping time is 3–7 business days. Once your order ships, we’ll email you a tracking number so you can follow its progress.
17. Can I change or cancel my order?
Please email hello@practiko.co as soon as possible. Orders can be changed or canceled before the processing cutoff of 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time, or 11:00 a.m. the next business day for orders placed after that time. Once processed, orders cannot be changed or canceled.
18. What warranty comes with my product?
Otis organizers and Edge come with a five-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
